HTC One mini now official: packs a 4.3 inch 720p display, dual-core 1.4 GHz processor, 4MP UltraPixel camera

The Taiwanese smartphone maker has finally made the HTC One mini official, which shares a similar design as well as features with the HTC One. Sporting a unibody aluminum chassis, the HTC One mini brings with it the 4MP UltraPixel camera and HTC BoomSound found on the HTC One with dual front stereo speakers. It however lacks NFC, IR-blaster and the optical image stabilization found on the HTC One.

Chinese woman electrocuted and killed while using Apple iPhone 5

23 year old Ma Ai Lun got electrocuted and died when she answered a phone call on her Apple iPhone 5 while it getting charged. Ms. Ai Lun was an air hostess on China Southern Airlines and was going to get married on August 8th.
After the Police in China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous region confirming the incident, the Forensic investigation stated that the deceased was electrocuted, and the same was listed as the official cause of death.  The victim's sister warns other users to not use the Apple iPhone 5 especially while charging it.

Nokia has announced that Gi Group, a leading Italian multinational company dedicated to the human resources market, has chosen Nokia Lumia as its business smartphone, replacing BlackBerry. The company offers temporary employment, staff leasing, research and selection, executive search, outplacement, HR consulting and training in 19 countries around the world.
At the beginning of 2007, Gi Group started to move on the international scene, and today it operates in 19 countries across Europe, America and Asia. At the end of 2010, it obtained an important acknowledgement, becoming Global Corporate Member of CIETT, the International Confederation of Private Employment Agencies. In 2012, it found a job for 160,000 individuals and served over 15,000 companies, with an overall turnover of 1,092 million euro. The Group counts 480 branches all over the world and over 2,400 employees.

Kudos to Nokia for keeping the thickness and weight amazingly down! Samsung should certainly learn to innovate here from Nokia.

This whitepaper provides a background on how our PureView technology has evolved, and then introduces the new HW (sensor, lenses, OIS) and describes the evolved zoom. Nokia Pro Camera UI and its manual controls are introduced together with a new method of lossless editing of your images.
